

Ray Graham Training Center was named in honor of the late Ray Graham, an important pioneer in Special Education. In 1943 he became the first Director of Special Education in Illinois. He served as President of the International Council for Exceptional Children and helped create the Institute for Research of Exceptional Children at the University of Illinois.
Graham Training Center educates children with a wide range of disabilities. Located on the South Side of Chicago, the Center draws its student body from diverse races, cultures and socioeconomic classes.
